Inspiring Young People Since 1892<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcome to 1st Kirkintilloch BB \u2013 the oldest Boys\u2019 Brigade company in Kirkintilloch and proud member of the Strathkelvin Battalion. We\u2019ve been part of the community since 1892, helping generations of young people grow in confidence, skills, and faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our journey began at Free St. Andrew\u2019s Church, and after some early ups and downs, we relaunched in 1927 at St. David\u2019s Ledgate Church. When the churches came together in 1969, we made our permanent home at St. Columba\u2019s Hillhead Parish Church \u2013 where you\u2019ll still find us today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For over 130 years, we\u2019ve been combining fun, friendship, and faith with exciting opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and discover their potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udc66\ud83d\udc67 Who Can Join?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 1st Kirkintilloch we run all sections of the BB, meaning there\u2019s a place for every boy from age 5 right through to 18:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Anchors: P1 \u2013 P3<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Juniors: P4 \u2013 P6<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Company: P7 \u2013 S2 (up to age 14\/15)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Seniors: S3 \u2013 S6 (up to age 17\/18)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each section has a programme full of activities \u2013 from games, sports, and trips to life skills, leadership, and community projects \u2013 all designed to be challenging, rewarding, and fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\ude4c Part of Something Bigger<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re proud to be part of St. Columba\u2019s Hillhead Parish Church and the Church of Scotland. The church also runs Noah’s Ark(for preschool age babies and toddlers) and a Sunday Club (for primary age children) both meeting every Sunday at 10:30am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
